This is an ongoing project where every couple years or so I like to fire up Illustrator and iterate on my personal brand identity via a new business card design. It’s fun a project that affords me the opportunity to step entirely away from code for a few days and explore the latest offerings from various offset printers here in the Bay Area.
It's also fun to see the designs evolve (and hopefully improve) over time with my first cards now going back over a decade.
I designed my latest card (pictured here on the left) this past June and printed it on a heavy 120lb card stock. It's actually made of three sheets of compressed paper and if you look closely at the top of the first image you can see the colored inset layer that runs along the edge.
